Also by releasing emotional blockages in your womb. As sometimes feelings are stuck in our womb. And limit the space for your baby to grow. Embrace a (daily) Yin Yoga practice. How Yin Yoga boosts fertility
Yin Yoga is a slow paced, more meditative style of yoga. Which relaxes your body, mind and soul.
Release instead of strengthen
This meditative style of yoga releases tensions in your body: Opening up the body. Letting go of stuck emotions which you feel in your body. For example, back pain is caused by emotions that are stuck. When looked at it in a holistic way. Yin Yoga helps feel the tension. Breath into it and in this way release it.
Yin and Yang
Yin Yoga differs from more Yang style Yoga. Like: Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga. As yang style yoga focuses on strengthening the muscles. There are more forms of yoga to boost your fertility. However, I happen to be a certified Yin Yoga teacher. I’m passionate about Yin Yoga as it brings balance to my active mind. It also helped me in my journey into and beyond motherhood.
First of all, Yin Yoga helped me to get pregnant. Secondly, Yin Yoga helped me to have an active and healthy pregnancy and it helped me prepare for my natural home-birth.
As with everything in life. A balance is best. While Yin Yoga helps to quiet the mind and open up the body. Also, integrate an active practice. For example a yang style yoga. Or something totally different. Like hiking in the mountains, dancing or any other active sport. Choose an activity that you love to do!

Yin Yoga to reduce stress
Whilst staying in poses for a longer time Yin Yoga is a perfect way to release stress. As you are being guided to be in the now: practising mindfulness. And to slow down your breath. When your breath is slow and steady. Your body feels at ease.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a practice of being in the moment. The perfect way to ease the mind. And reduce your stress levels. The practice of mindfulness is integrated in Yin Yoga. While you are being guided to feel your body. And be in the now:
- Feel your body – letting go of the mind
- Follow your breath
- Feeling the tensions
- Brining your awareness there
- And breath space into it
The magic of the breath
Your breath is the most important fuel of your body. It literally is the way to keep yourself alive. But also the way to influence your mindset. And influence your health.
Stress sets your body into survival mode
When you feel stressed or anxious your breath is at a fast pace. Your body thinks it is in danger and goes into your: “fight or flight mode”. Or in other words: stress sets your body into survival mode. When in survival mode your body shuts down important functions. Like for example food digestion, healing your body and reproducing. Or in other words: stress stops your body from becoming pregnant. Shocking right?
Nowadays our body’s are often in this fight and flight mode. But because total different reasons then needing to run for our lives. Like in the old days when we were still living in caves. And this fight and flight modus was a way to save our lives. Now our body gets into survival because of deadlines at work, ongoing alerts on our phone or for being in a traffic jam. This constant stress that we are in reduces fertility. But luckily there are many ways to calm your mind.
From survival to getting pregnant
Luckily you are the one to switch your body from survival into creation mode. Or the so-called: Rest and Restore mode of your body. When being in Rest and Restore your body heals it selves. This is the perfect condition for your body to get pregnant. The breath can bring you there. Just by simply slowing down your breath. Take long mindful deep breaths into the belly. And even longer breaths out. A calm breath brings your body at ease. So be mindful about your breathing. It is that simple!
Breathing for fertility
With Yin Yoga, we are slowing down our pace. Of our body and our breath. In this way, we bring our body from stress into rest and restore. The perfect condition to conceive naturally.

Release emotional blockages in your womb
As you stay in the poses a longer time you are opening up the connective tissues. We do this by breathing into the muscles. Connecting with the tensions that are stored in your body. Feeling the emotions, acknowledge them and then releasing the emotions out of your body.
In this way, Yin Yoga removes stress, anxiety and any other stuck emotions. While we create space. Space for energy to flow freely in your life. A space to feel more happiness and gratitude. And, most importantly: a loving space for your baby to grow.

Yin Yoga boosts fertility in two ways. By reducing stress and release blockages.
Stress sets our bodies into survival mode. Yin Yoga brings our body into the rest and restore system. Where our body needs to be in order to conceive naturally.
We women tend to store a lot of emotions in our womb. Therefore limiting the space for your baby to grow. With Yin Yoga we release these emotions. As a result we create a loving womb for your baby to grow.
